Redemption

This the mirror tells me.
Oh my god, my sweet god,
Bless me, for I have sinned.
Raped thy world with my stupidity.
Oh, I have wronged thee for so long,
I have wronged you all.

Yet, I love thee.
A sacred love in a blasphemous heart.
So, I pray thee now:
Lay thy hand upon my soul
And be my guide with thy work.

But then, no.
That must not be.
May thy world be virgin again,
Let us spoil it no further.
And may thou simply forgive us all,
All of us unworthy sinners.
